  2. And, we're seated! All the students are seated together and Miss Mac and I are at a safe observing distance. Think of us during the next 14 hours and I'll be in contact again upon our arrival in Doha. This is Mr J, signing out!

  4. We've all arrived SAFE AND SOUND! We were greeted with a balmy 6 degrees as we touched down in Berlin wired and ready for our adventure to begin. We caught a bus from Tegel airport to Berlin Hauptbahnhof and within a couple of minutes had found our accomodation. We checked into the Meiniger hotel and headed straight out for a bite to eat .... This proved very difficult for many of the students as ther jaws were on the ground as they took in the new sights around them. Stay tuned for our next update very soon! :)

  5. In a word, today was EPIC! We travelled on trains and trams and covered all of the major historical and cultural sights Berlin has to offer (or at least as many as we could get to in a day) and we walked, and walked, and waaaalked, and then we walked some more!! On our travels we learnt about the former East and West Germany, the significance of the Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gates and what reunification meant to the German people. Along side all the educational stuff we went to a live historical theatre that informed us of Germany's Tortured past. During this visit Emily was banished for being a witch, Andrew was tortured and Charlie managed to give us all the plague. And this was only the first half of the day! We went on to eat the best Currywurst Berlin has to offer for lunch and then discovered Potsdam Platz, Alexander Platz, die Weltzeit Uhr and East side Gallery. Are you tired yet?? Because there is still more! We left our hotel this morning at 10am with smiles on our faces and returned at 7.30pm in time for dinner and still smiling! I'm super proud of all the students and the epic effort they have put in and dedication dedication they have shown during our first two days in Berlin. If this is an indication of what is to come then LOOK OUT GERMANY! We're just getting started! This is Mr J signing out and going strait to bed! Good night all you bloggers out there!

PS. I'll aim to get the kids blogging soon! Just trying to give them lots of sleep until the jet lag has worn off ;)
